It looks as though it will be impossible to get out a Recap or even a Hermitcast this week and likely next week. The fault is mine of course… As my wife reminded me, I forgot to look at my schedule and made too many appointments that I must honor this week. Its left me with no time for writing and this week especially no time for recording. I don’t know about next week, there’s a bit of a fallout going on. If I can survive my own stupidity I ought to have the show back up and running in two weeks.
Sorry guys. I see I’m missing the ball here, but real life’s got to come first.

So Jack Mangan has the Palooza. JT’s Indie Christian podcast has the Poetry Slam. I think its time the Farpoint Recap had its own listener dedicated show. And what better way to imagine that then have other podcasters and listeners pull out their mic and slam ME.
So I’m announcing the first bi-annual Farpoint Recap Def Comedy Jam. I’ll be announcing rules for submissions soon, but I can say that this will be an open forum show, ANYONE is allowed to submit their comedy whether it be sketch based or standup, whether you’re a podcaster or not, whether you’re part of Farpoint Media or not. Totally open.
But I shall be revising this page soon with more info. In the mean time, feel free to comment.

I’ve got the new format of the show down and am presently collecting material for the new show. If done right the show will now be weekly and run 10-20 minutes in length. It will be slimmer, but hopefully concentrated funny.
If all goes well, look for that to drop down the feed Friday or Saturday.

The podcast isn’t dead yet, though apparently Podango is. I somehow missed that and I’m correcting that as I type this. Also, prepare for future… something…

Dub has some updates, and also wants to talk about what April 1st means to Farpoint Media.

I still can’t believe, its been almost four weeks and I haven’t been able to shake this bug. I’m on my second round of antibiotic and still puking green slime. This sucks.
Also if you haven’t heard my wife lost her job, which has utterly destroyed my podcasting schedule (which is kind of the least of my worries at the moment). I have FPR 6 written and prepared, just have to record it really… But after this weekends events at the Washington caucus I’m seriously considering rewriting what I have to cover that. And given just the utter level of ridiculousness of it, from what I’ve told other people, they’re telling me to go for it, because it’s a great story, you guys will love it.
So I apologize for being late again… *sigh* I’m trying to get this thing together…

Damn you Scott Sigler.
But seriously, I just got back from the doctor. Apparently I have a staph infection, strep throat, and by some strange medical miscomunication, smokers lung. (See he put me on the Pepto to try and deal with my stomach, and I figured I could get off Zantac because I figured that was the reason I was allergic to wheat, but I guess Pepto isn’t a real antacid, and acid fumes can get in your lungs and cause an infection like I’ve got)
So he’s got me on an antibiotic and I should be better by Monday.
Dunno when they’re gonna do the ultrasound yet.

Written by Jack Jaffee at 12 Volt Theater.com, voiced by his wife. Engineered by me. Background vocals by Kitka and music by Solace, Magnatune.com. Had to be the coolest idea ever.
There should be a show this week, given enough Theraflu to get me through the recording of it. There will not however be a Wingin’ It Recap next show because I’m not sure they’re doing one at Comicon anyway. A maybe from Mike Mennenga typically means no.

I think the podango integration is actually working. From what I can see the files are all there and accessible. It’s just the Itunes subscription link that isn’t working, and from emails I’ve gotten that’s never worked. Which is strange, we didn’t seem to have a problem with this on the temp page, and we’re using the exact same setup.
Actually now that I’m looking at it, it didn’t work on the temp server either. So how the hell did you guys get subscribed over there? You must have been searching for it. The store is there, it’s just the damn button that doesn’t work.
Weird. I wonder if this is why Food Geeking doesn’t have an Itunes page. Some random bit of code screwing with things.
I dunno. But if something else isn’t working, let me know.
